We actually have a pair of these by our bed and they are excellent for storing books, papers and all the general gubbins you keep by your bed. They look fabulous too.

As a vintage item, this has had a previous life and will carry marks and imperfections that tell their individual stories. Whilst I have refurbished the piece, there will still be the odd mark from usage which aren’t distracting and only add to its character.
